Gurugram-based startup community-builder and accelerator PedalStart has launched the second edition of its flagship PedalStars Fellowship program. The program aims to empower 20 startup enthusiasts to become core team members in the Indian startup ecosystem. PedalStart will select, train, and support the Fellows over a period of six months.
Each selected Fellow will receive a monthly stipend of INR 15k (approximately $200). After the program ends, PedalStart will provide placement assistance for the Fellows to secure positions as early team members or core team members in one of the portfolio startups under PedalStart or within PedalStart itself.
The PedalStars 2.0 Fellowship program is designed to provide practical and experiential training, offering Fellows the opportunity to learn, execute, and build their startup careers under the guidance of experienced founders and mentors. Fellows will receive complimentary access to courses, workshops, resources, and hands-on experience in building and growing startups from the ground up.
The first cohort of the PedalStars Fellowship program saw the selection and training of seven Fellows out of over 1000 applications received. PedalStart has helped these Fellows secure placements after the program ended in November.
PedalStart’s PedalStars Fellowship program does not charge any upfront fees, but requires a pre-specified program fee to be paid by any Fellow who secures a placement after completing the program. Applications for the PedalStars 2.0 Fellowship program are currently open.
In summary, the PedalStars Fellowship program by PedalStart aims to equip startup enthusiasts with practical skills and experience, while offering them the opportunity to become core team members in the Indian startup ecosystem. The program provides stipends, placement assistance, and the chance to work under experienced founders and mentors.
