Berlin-based startup Ovom has raised $1.4 million in pre-seed funding from AI investment platform Merantix to support its AI-based fertility treatments. Ovom uses AI to help patients increase their chances of successful fertility treatments, offering a range of fertility services such as assessments, treatments, LGBTQIA+ family building, and donor services. The startup uses historical and current medical data along with a machine learning algorithm to predict the likelihood of pregnancy for a patient. Ovom plans to use the funding to further develop its technology and expand its services to underserved demographics. The company charges for its services based on a success-based pricing scale and aims to work with clinics and eventually scale globally.
