MSU’s Montana Innovation Partnership partners with firms to assist tech companies.

Montana State University’s Montana Innovation Partnership (MTIP) has recently joined forces with Peak Innovations Group, OppsSpot, and The Outpost to support startup technology companies in Montana. These firms will help small businesses apply for SBIR and STTR funding by providing coaching, reviews, and other assistance. MTIP, a FAST partnership program, aims to increase the number of SBIR/STTR proposals and awards for Montana businesses, especially those from underrepresented areas. The collaboration with these firms will benefit Montana’s small technology companies by providing advanced technical expertise in various fields like photonics, defense systems, life science, and agri-tech. Successful companies like Qualcomm and Inimmune have received SBIR/STTR awards, leading to the development of commercial technologies. MTIP, housed within the MSU TechLink Center, focuses on technology transfer activities for the U.S. Department of Defense, assisting entrepreneurs in commercializing their innovations and building businesses.
