Latvian medtech startup Sentante has raised €6 million in a seed funding round led by Practica Capital, with participation from the EIC Fund. Sentante has developed a teleoperated robotic system for performing endovascular interventions remotely, allowing physicians and medical teams to work without exposure to harmful X-ray radiation. The system can be easily incorporated into existing treatment workflows and uses the same medical devices as manual procedures. This innovation could revolutionize the way endovascular procedures are performed and improve patient outcomes. The company plans to use the funding to conduct a clinical trial of the system and prepare for commercial launch in international markets.
