CareerFairy recently announced that it has secured €3.5 million in its latest round of financing, its largest to date. The funding will assist in the company’s expansion efforts in the DACH region and the Benelux countries. Furthermore, the company has expressed intentions of expanding its product portfolio as a part of its overall growth strategy.

The startup company specialises in the recruitment of Generation Z individuals with their unique platform. They were founded in 2019 by Thomas Schulz and Maximilian Voss to provide students guidance in their job hunting experiences. The platform embraces elements of social media, specifically in the presentation and acquisition of job opportunities, which aligns with the habits and preferences of Generation Z.

CareerFairy now works with over 250 well-known clients from various industries and boasts partnerships with over 230 universities and colleges. The company has already expanded beyond Zurich with offices in Berlin, Utrecht and Lisbon. Some of their clients include well-established names such as KPMG, Beiersdorf, L’Oréal, and BMW Group.

Thomas Schulz, CEO and co-founder of CareerFairy, expressed that the company’s goal is to revolutionize the outdated recruiting industry, to better meet the needs of Generation Z. Through CareerFairy, Schulz hopes to provide an authentic insight into potential employment options for users, aiding early career decisions and preventing any potential mismatches.

CareerFairy’s user interface mimics elements of social media such as Instagram Reels and TikToks to deliver a contemporary application process. This promises an authentic and intuitive experience for the tech-savvy Generation Z population. In addition, the platform facilitates the employers’ access to a rich pool of university graduates, a demographic that has proven challenging to reach in conventional ways.
