QNu and SimYog, cybersecurity and simulation startups, bag early funding.

  • Cybersecurity startup QNu Labs and electromagnetic interference and compliance simulation startup SimYog have raised early-stage funding.
  • QNu Labs secured $6.5 million in a pre-Series A1 round from investors including Ashish Kacholia of Lucky Investments and Speciale Invest. The funds will be used for product development, geographic expansion, and talent acquisition.
  • SimYog raised $2.4 million in a funding round led by Mela Ventures and 1Crowd, with participation from IdeaSpring. The investment will be used to reach customers and enhance quality and cost-effectiveness of their products.

QNu Labs has developed quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions that offer data security on the internet, cloud, and edge, protecting against new-age attacks targetting critical information infrastructure, communication, and personally identifiable information. “With these funds, we’re poised to accelerate the completion of our quantum technology solutions and improve our product suite,” stated QNu Labs’ co-founder and CEO, Sunil Gupta.

The Bangalore-based SimYog makes electromagnetic interference and compliance (EMI/EMC) simulation software for front-loading at the early design stage. It tests product designs for EMI/EMC compatibility across various scenarios and user applications. The platform can also identify EMI/EMC-related issues at the design stage and suggest beneficial design modifications, a feature not possible in traditional physical labs. “This investment will help us reach customers who are facing the challenge of EMI/EMC testing and help them release quality products faster and cost-effectively,” noted SimYog’s CEO, Dipanjan Gope.

Both these investments highlight the increased interest of VC funds in deep-tech startups that are innovating and solving challenges in critical sectors such as cybersecurity and electronic design.
