Saudi Arabian digital lending platform Tameed has closed a Series A funding round worth $15m, led by Alromaih Investments. Tameed plans to use the funds to support its growth and meet the demand for its digital lending products in the country. The firm recently launched an auto-invest product to allow busy investors to invest in short-term funding opportunities. Tameed provides shariah-compliant financing options for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for government contract purchases. It has a licence from the Saudi Central Bank and has provided funding exceeding $106.6m.
