ABB has announced the winners of its Accelerating Circularity Startup Challenge, which awarded three startups with $30,000 each to develop innovative ideas in collaboration with ABB. The challenge sought solutions that help design out waste and pollution, extend the lifespan of products and materials, and regenerate the natural system. The winners are Molg, a US company that tackles e-waste through robotic microfactories; Minespider, a Swiss blockchain platform that promotes transparency and circularity in supply chains; and Excess Materials Exchange, a Netherlands-based digital platform for exchanging excess materials and products. ABB aims to develop new circular business models covering all stages of the product life cycle by 2030.
